		HYGEIA® was developed to meet consumer demands in household hygiene in the Far East and South East Asia. In these markets as well as some South American markets, the product has proved very popular. The original Models KC900-220v & KC700-110v (now discontinued) were the first infra red activated dispensers made for homes, small clinics, hospitals and restaurants. In 1995 the unit was improved and up-dated with a new battery operated machine which included lock and anti-theft features and faster dispenser cycles. The most sell able feature of this unit is its patented circuit board which allows it to operate for 3 years on 4 standard Alkaline batteries. ALL other known competitor models cannot operate for more than 6 months. Its other major appeal is its outlook which is unlike any soap dispenser ever marketed. All similar products tend to be long and/or square and not suitable for home display.
